Despite her young age, Purnell brings a wealth of experience to the role, thanks to her early immersion in the film industry.
Having begun with 'West End', a professional and commercial theatre in and around the West End of London, Ella made her movie debut at the age of 13. She played the younger version of Keira Knightley's character named Ruth in the dystopian romantic tragedy film 'Never Let Me Go' (2010).
Her career took off thereafter and she bagged numerous projects including the 2011 film 'Intruders' and Angelina Jolie starrer 'Maleficent' (2014).
Ella Purnell gained popularity on Television
Purnell made her television debut in 2015 with the British docu-drama 'Cyberbully'. However, her popularity surged when she appeared in BBC One's 'Ordeal by Innocence' in 2018, followed by starring as the lead in 'Sweetbitter'.
In 2020, Purnell garnered attention with her portrayal of Lady Maria Grey in ITV's acclaimed historical drama 'Belgravia'.
Her last noticeable appearance was in the American thriller 'Yellowjackets' until her character was killed off.
