'The Last of Us' actor Pedro Pascal jokingly blamed Kieran Culkin for his arm injury at the 2024 Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pedro Pascal isn't holding himself back at the Emmys 2024.

'The Last of Us' star made a sarcastic comment about Kieran Culkin while presenting the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category.

While announcing the name of the winner, Pascal joked around and blamed Culkin for his arm injury.

Pascal said, “A lot of people have been asking about my arm. It’s actually my shoulder. And I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s**t out of me."

Soon after, Pedro added, “Here are the nominees for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.”

During the award show, Pascal's remarks were bleeped out. 

The camera cut to Kieran, who was stone-faced in the audience as his wife laughed.

The injury Pascal sustained was not caused by a fight against zombies, intergalactic beings, or Culkin. He simply had a fall.

Soon after, the netizens began sharing their stance on the whole matter.

An X user said, "Oh my god that thing Pedro Pascal just said about Kieran Culkin was so funny. It was so funny that I couldn’t hear any of it bc the United States is too scared of curse words on live TV."

Kieran Culkin began his fake beef with Pedro Pascal at Golden Globes 2024

For the unversed, Culkin began his fake feud with Pedro Pascal at the Golden Globes 2024 when he won the award for Best Actor in a TV drama for his role in HBO's show 'Succession'.

In his winning speech, Culkin said, “I was nominated for a Golden Globe like 20 years ago, and when that moment passed, I still remember thinking, I’m never going to be back in this room again.”

The 'Succession' star added, "But thanks to ‘Succession', I’ve been in here a couple times."

He concluded his speech by saying, “S**k it, Pedro!”

Pedro Pascal's 'The Last of Us' bagged 24 Emmy nominations

'The Last of Us' received a total of 24 nominations, including Best Drama Series and Best Actor and Actress for Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.

HBO's show 'Succession' topped the list of Emmy nominations with a total of 27 nods in its kitty. 

'The White Lotus' was third with 23 nominations, meanwhile 'Ted Lasso' nabbed 21 nominations.
