'Emily in Paris' Season 3 fails to dethrone 'Wednesday' on Netflix's Top 10 global list, debuts at #2
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 3 finally made its way to Netflix last week and was destined to be another giant hit for the streaming service. Even though the series has received mixed reviews from the critics, fans have been turning up in large numbers every time a new season has dropped on the streaming platform and they didn’t disappoint this time as well. The third edition has garnered a bumper response in its opening week and debuted at #2 in the Netflix Top 10 list, only behind the blockbuster hit ‘Wednesday’.
In Season 3, Emily (Lily Collins) finally confesses her love for Gabriel and vice-versa, but their story is still not complete because Gabriel tells her something about Camille that could change everything between them. The third edition is much more dramatic than the previous two seasons and sees Emily trying to prove her loyalty to Madeline and Sylvie. However, things go out of hand when a series of unfortunate events make her life miserable and problematic. Once again, critics have given mixed reviews to the show while viewers have already declared it a hit by watching the show in large numbers.

According to the latest figures released by Netflix, the show has been watched for more than 117 million minutes during the December 19-25 viewing window. The figures are truly magnificent because the show was released on Netflix on December 21 and in just 4 days, it managed to rake in such extraordinary numbers. Apart from garnering staggering numbers, Netflix also revealed that ‘Emily in Paris’ is in Netflix's Top 10 lists in 93 countries and #1 in over 42 countries.
However, ‘Wednesday’ seems to be unstoppable and continues to stay at the top of the list for the fifth straight week. The series was watched for more than 118.5 million minutes in the same viewing window and also features in the streaming platform’s Top 10 global list in over 93 countries.
It will be interesting to see if ‘Emily in Paris’ can dethrone ‘Wednesday’ in its second week because the gap between the two shows is not that big. Also, fans should not be worrying about these figures because the show has already been renewed for Season 4 and filming will begin pretty soon.
‘Emily in Paris’ also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Camille Razat (Camille), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie).
‘Emily in Paris’ Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
