'Emily in Paris' Season 3 on Netflix: Lily Collins' DIY haircut on show makes fans want their own 'crisis bangs'

The new teaser hinted that Emily isn't handling the pressure incredibly well, as she gives herself some DIY bangs in the process

Lilly Collin's Emily Cooper is back in Paris and on the screen for its fans. The recent fan event of Netflix, Tudum was where the cast first spoke about the upcoming season and its first look. In the teaser trailer, we see Emily being an emotional wreck after she finds out Gabrielle and Camille are back together. In a fit of rage, she cuts her own bangs! Although she rocks her new 'Birkin bangs' and looks adorable in them, Gabriel asks her if "she is fine." 

After two years in Paris, it is only justified if Emily went for a little more Parisian look and did not just rely on her uber-chic clothes. It is kind of a wonder Emily didn't already have bangs, given her 'Audrey Hepburn vibe.'

Emily has been seen for the last two seasons with normal layers and curled hair she would wear always and sometimes try to rock it with a hat but it was not working anymore, at least Cooper realized it for whatever reasons and somehow fans are here for it.

After the trailer was released, fans who relate to the mantra "new hair, new me" were all rooting for her by tweeting their Birkin bang story. A fan said, 'Cut myself crisis bangs last month #EmilyInParis Can't wait @netflix #EmilyInParis3'. A fan tweeted, 'I can not endorse this! Call a stylist, please. It’s what we’re here for #emilyinparis #fashion caffeine & therapy tm xx. A fan wrote, 'Okay so,Emily in Paris gave herself crisis bangs, it’s high time for me to do it.' A fan mentioned, 'Emily with bangs in #EmilyinParis S3. Can't wait to see her again.'

However, this is not the first time that Collins rocked fringes. The actor has tried all sorts of fringe throughout her time in the spotlight. She sported baby bangs in her Clash de Cartier campaign this June, curtain bangs for her InStyle Germany cover in Feb. 2021, and these Birkin bangs (before they were trending) last fall. Perhaps it is safe to say that Collins is a trendsetter and with her eccentric sense of fashion this season of 'Emily in Paris' will bloom in many ways but one. In the sneak peek, Collin's character Emily has been seen rocking the bangs in a hair scarf, a half-updo, a perfect ballerina bun, and more.
