'Emergence' Episode 7 replaced by ‘Dolly Parton: Here She Comes Again!’ on Tuesday night, but here's when 'Fatal Exception' will air
Emily (Maria Dizzia) has finally revealed herself to be the bad guy that she is on 'Emergence' and ABC is making us wait for an extra week to make sure Piper (Alexa Swinton) is okay! Where is the justice in that? Well, at least, we are getting Dolly in exchange.
Instead of regular programming, which would have ideally seen Season 1 Episode 7 of 'Emergence', viewers will get to see the one-hour special ‘Dolly Parton: Here She Comes Again!’ on Tuesday, November 12 night. The special, hosted by 'Good Morning America' anchor Robin Roberts, will give fans an intimate look into the life and career of the country music legend, Parton. The deeply personal interview will feature never-before-seen archival interviews and performance footage, and will also see other Country icons such as Bobby Bones, Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes, and Carrie Underwood sharing their personal stories about her.
'Emergence' fans need not worry too much, though, seeing as Piper will be back on our TV screens come next Tuesday, November 19. In the upcoming episode, titled 'Fatal Exception', we will see Piper continuing to get trained by Emily in the alternate dimension where they meet. It is clear that Emily has been hiding her true intentions from Jo (Allison Tolman) and the rest of the gang because she seems to think of Piper as her daughter.
Based on the trailer for the upcoming episode, it also seems like she is encouraging Piper to use her power for her own advantage. She wants Piper to love her but doesn't want to put the work in. Thankfully, Jo and Benny (Owain Yeoman) seem to be in the know of Emily's ulterior motives and is even seen trying to stop her. But the question really is who Piper wants to listen to. The mother who took her in and cared for her when no one would, or the mother who loves her power more than her. That remains to be seen.
We have already started counting down the days to the premiere of 'Fatal Exception', the seventh episode of 'Emergence', which will air Tuesday, November 19, on ABC.
