We have grown up watching Marvel movies right from our childhood itself. Fans became awestruck and enamored with Emmy nominated star Elizabeth Olsen’s spellbinding performance as the Scarlet Witch / Wanda Maximoff when she made her debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’. But the actress surprised all the viewers with her stellar performance as the Scarlet Witch / Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel spin-off series ‘Wandavision’ that garnered her global recognition as an actor.

She also reprised her role of the Scarlet Witch in the Marvel film, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ which made the viewers applaud her enigmatic performance in the film. In the final moments of the movie, we see that her character of Scarlet Witch / Wanda Maximoff, who is the main antagonist, is compelled to see the reality where her children exist so she can be a mother to them. But, when she has a realization about how her actions have been hurting her kids and made them petrified of even her alternate version in that reality, the Scarlet Witch feels shameful and repulsed by her heinous actions and ends up collapsing the top most part of Mount Wundagore all over herself. She ends up totally destroying the dark hold and its power in the multiverse post which she is seen as dead. In end, only a bright red flash is seen but there’s no dead body of Scarlet Witch which keeps a possibility alive that there could be a solo spin-off film or her re-appearance again in any of the future Marvel films.

MCU in 2021: Five moments from Marvel Cinematic Universe that blew our minds

Ever since her franchise’s debut in 2015 with ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, Wanda has always been seen as a really complicated type of character within the MCU. She has constantly been described by makers as walking on the thin and dangerous line between being a hero or a villain, but this particular trait has been changed drastically with the ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ when she was made a powerful antagonist within the movie. Because that film put Olsen's character of Scarlet Witch in the centre, many have begun thinking if a solo movie for the powerful and rich character could be around the corner.

Opening up on the rumors regarding a possible solo MCU film for her character and also finally breaking her silence on those which are suggesting that she will appear in the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha: House of Harkness, in a recent interview on Good Morning America, the Emmy nominated star Elizabeth Olsen said, “I would love to be a part of both of those. No one tells me anything, and I'm not even hiding a secret because I'm bad at that. I know nothing about my future."

As soon as this got posted on Twitter, fans have been sharing in their reactions on the same. “Wdym spin off movie”, a fan shared. “SHE IS LYING and its ok! we will wait for her slayage”, added another fan. “Her story is not done. White Vision is still out there somewhere, Mutants are coming, Her kids, Wonder Man is coming to the MCU which is connected to her, and the Illuminati family will gonna hunt her even the Avengers for what she did in Earth 838”, a fan wrote. “I hope she gets her own trilogy, no way they’re done with her”, a fan added. “They need to hurry up and announce her solo movie. we know it’s coming and know she’s alive”, a fan wrote. “We NEED A Scarlet Witch movie, but I really hope they give her a proper redemption arc, her villain era has ended”, added another user.

Although Olsen has no new information about a potential Scarlet Witch film, the ending of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ has kept the possibility for another potential spin-off film or appearance of the Scarlet Witch again. After fighting a gruesome battle with America Chavez, Wong (Benedict Wong), and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Wanda finally reunites with her children, but they seemed to be feeling very afraid and scared of her. Wanda realizes that she has become what she feared all along from the start itself and ends up destroying her mountain throne, seemingly killing herself. However, nobody is seen, only a bright red flash which keeps the idea of her comeback to the MCU very much alive according to the fans.
