'DWTS' Grease Night: Kenya Moore's moving performance has fans demanding perfect 10
'Grease Night' on 'Dancing With The Stars' has proved to be an emotional night for the celebrities, along with the time leading up to it. With Mel C and JoJo Siwa opening up about their confidence issues, Kenya Moore also showed the world a vulnerable side of herself. During the practice, she spoke about her grandmother Dorris and just how special she was to her.
As she and pro Brandon Armstrong geared up to dance the rumba to 'There Are Worse Things I Could Do', Moore explained that she understands the place the character Rizzo comes from. Moore said that she was the product of teen pregnancy and her mother contemplated giving her up for adoption. However, her father's mother raised her instead and even instilled a love for dance in her. She had nothing but love for her grandmother and dedicated her performance to honor her memory. It was certainly an emotional piece and the judges felt it too.
Len Goodman noted that Moore's performance had chemistry, romance and control and that it was spot on. Bruno Tonioli gushed about how the duo translated emotion into motion. Carrie Ann Inaba was glad that Moore was still in the competition because they would have never been able to witness this powerful performance had she not been.
Derek Hough pointed out that when in the bottom, people often sink or swim and when it came to Moore, she definitely swam to the top. All the judges scored her 9s, bringing her grand total to 36 out of 40.
Fans were thrilled to see Moore excel and get the recognition she deserves. "I'm still on cloud 9 and can't get over how good Kenya performance was. I legit can't stop watching. Super proud of my Queen. #DWTS #KenyaMoore" tweeted a fan. "@KenyaMoore is going all the way! She's in it to win it and she's going to get it! Others believed that Moore's performance should have been scored 10s, seeing that it was that spectacular. "This dance deserved 10 10 10 10!!! #KenyaMoore dance was breathtakingly amazing! #DWTS #teamtwirl" tweeted a fan. "Kenya should have got a 10!! #DWTS" added another. "How did Kenya not get at least 1 freakin 10 for that??? #DWTS" asked a fan.
