'DWTS' Queen Night: Cody Rigsby survives elimination, fans ask 'who's voting for him'

The fitness guru in a tribute to his friend gave an emotional performance on 'Dancing With The Stars'

Tonight 'Dancing With The Stars' paid tribute to one of the most loved and iconic bands of all time and it couldn't have been anymore epic! The band has been a global presence in popular culture for more than four decades is one of the world's best-selling music artists. Yep, it's the one and only 'Queen'!

As the ABC dance competition progresses fan support gets all the more important. Celebrity fitness guru Cody Rigsby sees plenty of fan love every week despite not having the best performances. Horror Night saw him do the Cha Cha with partner Cheryl Burke. For Queen Night the two danced the Foxtrot to “You’re My Best Friend”. Read on to know the judges' and fans' views on his performance.

In an emotional moment during rehearsals, Cody revealed the song is meaningful to him as he lost his best friend to addiction in 2020. Tearing us he said he loves and misses his friend very much. His partner Cheryly empathizing with him shared that she's an alcohol addict but is sober and understands how fragile the situation is. Coming to his performance Judge Carrie Ann said she was sorry for his loss and said that for the first time she saw the true joy in his performance, She added he looked relaxed, free, and happy scoring him an 8.

Judge Bruno said he digs his look and that he was glowing with affection. He said he saw Rigsby's true honest self and gave him a 9. Judge Len came in with the criticism saying his bum stuck out and said this wasn't his worst performance but it also wasn't his best one and gave him an 8. Judge Derek disagreed and said that this was one of his best dances which had a good frame and was consistently smooth. He gave him a 9 for a total of 34 out of 40. 

For the special relay challenge, the fitness guru did the Jive to “Crazy Little Thing Called Love alongside Iman Shumpert and the Miz. The judges had a lot of fun and love the relay. While Judges Carrie and Derek awarded their bonus points to Iman, Judges Len and Bruno gave their points to Cody effectively making his total jump to 36.

Although scored and reviewed well, fans did not share the same opinion and took to Twitter to express their views. Here's how they reacted. A viewer said, "baffles me how some of y’all genuinely believe cody is the best dancer there #dwts". Another fan said, "HOW IS CODY STILL IN THE RUNNING LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FAWK #DancingWithTheStars #dwts". A tweet read, "Someone explain to me how Cody is still there and we keep losing such awesome performers?! #dwts".

A fan commented, "As precious as Cody is, who keeps voting for him? He’s stiff. He’s likable but that’s it. #DWTS". Another viewer said, "Also WHO is voting for Cody? He's a celebrity fitness guru make it make sense #dwts". One of the tweets read, "Guys, I love Cody as my instructor, yes. But can we be honest?
