'Dublin Murders' Episode 4: Katy's murder and Adam's past may remain unsolved, but we will get some answers for Cassie/Lexie mystery

In the upcoming episode, we are hoping to get some answers regarding Lexie's identity, especially pertaining to how and when Cassie created her, and if the LExie Cassie created had the same personality and features as the Lexxie that now lays dead.

For three weeks now, 'Dublin Murders' has taken us deeper and deeper into the intricate stories that kept glued us to the edge of our seats, and it seems like the mystery is only deepening and questions increasing. In the previously aired Episode 3 of the Starz/BBC series, we learned that one of our lead investigators, Cassie (Sarah Greene), not only has an alter ego which came to life, but that alternative self has been murdered, and while there is no context for this storyline at the moment, we are hoping that the upcoming Episode 4 will change this.

Cassie's alter ego Lexie was teased in the second episode when one of the detective's old associates resurfaced and warned her to put Lexie to rest for good. To this, Cassie responded by saying that she hasn't been Lexie — who she pretended to be when she was deep undercover — for a while now. After this, we saw her at a shady bar, making it very clear that Lexie and Cassie are two totally different people, and later, we see that she has been killed. Naturally, Cassie is intrigued and disturbed, and potentially confused — perhaps not as much as us.

We have been bogged down with too much information and yet not enough. We know that Rob (Killian Scott) is regularly visited by a wolf, and yet we don't know what the significance of this hallucination is; we know that Rob used to go by Adam when he was younger and that when he was playing with his friends he got lost in the woods and while he was found by the adults covered in someone else's blood hours later, his friends weren't and yet we haven't the remotest clue what happened to him during these hours or what happened to his friends; we know that Katy's (Amy Macken) seemingly ritualistic murder has something to do with what happened in the woods 20 odd years ago, but we don't even know if these mysteries are supernatural or caused by humans.

In the upcoming episode, however, we are at least hoping to get some answers regarding Lexie's identity, especially pertaining to how and when Cassie created her, and if the Lexie Cassie created had the same personality and features as the Lexxie that now lays dead. Hopefully, we will find out, when Episode 4 airs on Starz on Sunday, December 1.
