'Dublin Murders' Episode 2: Rob Reilly's past as Adam takes center stage as we get more details regarding Katy Devlin's murder
After setting the stage for a gripping murder mystery last Sunday, Starz show 'Dublin Murders' is back with Episode 2 on November 17 and we are expecting some major plot development. Episode 1 had left the ends of many storylines loose, including that of the primary murder itself, and the past lives of the lead investigators Rob Reilly (Killian Scott) and Cassie Maddox (Sarah Greene). While we are expecting the murder of Katy (Amy Macken) to take the rest of the season to be solved, the other storylines will hopefully see a major development come Episode — specifically that of Rob.
In the premiere episode, we saw that Rob's nightmares haunt him wherever he goes and that they are more real that anyone would have initially anticipated. Turns out Rob had a really dark past and that he was a part of the disappearance of two boys in the same woods that the seemingly ritualistic murder has occurred, almost 20 years ago. Rob, then Adam, was yet to be known by his middle name, and he had gone into the woods with two of his friends. They ran ahead of him and disappeared while young Rob was trapped alone. He was alone for over 10 hours before he was found with the blood of another boy covering his feet.
It seems like Cassie is the only one privy to this deep, dark secret of Rob, considering she told him they cannot investigate the case. However, it is certain that neither Cassie nor Rob is going to drop the case, and in all probability, Episode 2 will give us insight into what Rib went through before becoming Adam. Will his own past give them clues regarding what happened to Katy? It is too much of a coincidence that both these gruesome incidents happened in the same location.
Meanwhile, there are also strange characters who have been introduced, like the man who broke into Katy's apartment and the other who is plagued by the guilt of something he did in the past and wants him and his accomplices to make amends. We also need to find out who has risen? Hopefully, the answers to all these questions lie in Episode 2 of 'Dublin Murders', which airs Sunday, November 17 on Starz.
