If you've been tuning in regularly to 'Doubling Down With the Derricos', you know that GG, Deon's mother, is a beloved figure on the show. From Karen considering her to be a mother to the kids absolutely adoring their grandmother, GG is loved by all, including fans.

However, Season 3 has not been easy on GG. From her health issues to the stress of the South Carolina move, she has undoubtedly been dealing with a lot. And now, it looks like things have taken a turn for the worse, with her cancer returning.

'Doubling Down With the Derricos': Deon gets emotional during vow renewal at Disney World

Seeing that GG dealt with lung cancer back in 2014, she certainly had very strong opinions about getting chemotherapy. As Deon explained it, she had a deep 'distrust' when it came to doctors and hence was looking into alternate ways to deal with the growth this time around, to not have to go through medical treatments. However, Deon was rightfully concerned about the effectiveness of these treatments and decided to sit his mother down to convince her to see a specialist he had found. However, GG held on to the dislike for doctors, calling them out on how they dehumanized her the first time around. She noted that before she is a 'disease, she is 'a person' and that often, the oncologist spoke to her as if she was not there and it was just the disease that had to be addressed. Deon acknowledged his mother's fear of doctors and reminded her that he genuinely wanted her to be around for a long time, which GG agreed with as well. They both got emotional as GG made it clear that she wanted to be healthy to see all her grandchildren grow up.

Fans got just as emotional as they wished her a speedy recovery. "Please get chemo GG!! Please! #thederricos" tweeted a fan. "My heart. This woman is so loved. Sending healing and prayers to GG. The strongest woman #TheDerricos" said a fan. "#TheDerricos I really love GG and am rooting for her" added another. "I get where GG is coming from with the fear but still. #thederricos" wrote a worried fan. "Never thought GG was afraid of seeing a doctor… She needs to overcome this fear if she wants to recover! #TheDerricos " added a fan. "Aaww GG you gone make me cry ,Lord Please let GG be here fully functioning to see them beautiful grandkids! #TheDERRICOs" prayed another.
