Actress Irene is back and this time, SM Entertainment’s K-pop singer comes bearing more than one gift for fans. With Irene’s new film ‘Double Patty’ releasing, where she stars opposite Love Alarm’s Shin Seung-ho, Irene has also recorded an original soundtrack for the film which will be pre-released.

‘Double Patty’, a film based on coming-of-age young people who have chosen to pursue their dreams no matter what, shows what they have to go through in their journey to this end. Irene plays the character of Lee Hyun-ji who wants to be an anchor and Shin Seung-ho plays Kang Woo-ram, a former Korean wrestler.

Plot

Lee Hyun-ji is a would-be anchor who works at a hamburger joint. Woo-ram is a former athlete who is preparing to get a job. One night Woo-ram comes to the burger joint and orders a double patty burger which has a one for one sale. A story begins with two being better than one.

SM Entertainment’s deemed vocalist and actress, Irene aka Bae Joo-hyun is playing the lead, Lee Hyun-ji. Irene debuted with Red Velvet in 2014 as a K-pop artist and her popularity skyrocketed within a few months, attracting huge commercial deals, subsequent acting offers and more. Apart from her successful K-pop stint, Irene has starred in stellar hit ‘Women at a Game Company’ and a cameo in ‘Descendants of the Sun’.

Shin Seung-ho



 

Shin Sheung-ho plays the role of a former wrestler, Kang Woo-ram. The 25-year-old South Korean actor and model has been hailed as the ‘prince of web dramas’ for his iconic visuals and swoon-worthy performances in Netflix’s ‘Love Alarm’, JTBC’s ‘At Eighteen’, KBS’ ‘Homemade Love Story’ and more.

OST

An OST for the film sung by Irene will be released on Genie music prior to the movie release. Irene’s track is called 'White Night' while Seung-ho will be singing 'Night Sky' (literal translations).
