Red Velvet's Yeri started trending on Twitter on February 2 as the singer is expanding her career into acting. TVN's popular single-act drama project 'Drama Stage' is returning this year and will feature Yeri, according to NAVER.

What is 'Drama Stage'?
'Drama Stage' is a weekly television program that features 10 one-act dramas and was first launched in 2017. Fans who are familiar with KBS2's anthology series 'Drama Special' may also find many similarities in 'Drama Stage'. Since the show's first broadcast, it has produced a total of 129 drama and film writers to date.
The short plays are created by writers who are selected from the O'PEN Drama Storyteller Exhibition held by CJ E&M. The show aims at discovering talented storytellers inside and outside the industry while offering diverse content and sharing the rich imaginations of the writers.

2021's concept
The theme for 2021 will be centered around stories that could potentially happen to us, capturing both the big and small things that occur in our daily lives with sensational direction. Lee Chan-ho, who is in charge of this year's 'Drama Stage', said, “I am happy to introduce well-made works that combine the novelty of a new writer, the experience of veteran directors, and excellent acting skills. It will continue to be the name of the 'Drama Stage'.”
Yeri's debut
Yeri will make her acting debut on the episode titled 'Mint Condition'. The episode will reportedly tell the story of an old man whose consciousness is put into the body of a younger man in his 20s after an MRI machine malfunction. Having to adjust to his newfound youth, the man will have to live in harmony with young hip-hoppers. The exact details of Yeri's appearance in the episode are yet to be revealed, but the mere mention of her acting debut has been enough to get the singer trending on Twitter.
