LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The season finale of the British science fiction television series 'Doctor Who' has left fans disappointed.

The show, which enjoys a cult following among its dedicated fans, debuted its fourteenth season on May 11, 2024, and concluded on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

The show's narrative follows the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and his companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) as they embark on new adventures across time and space with the aid of the TARDIS.

As the season draws to a close, viewers have taken to social media to express predominantly negative feelings about the show.

As soon as the season finale of the show made its premiere, many devoted fans took to social media platforms to share their opinions, with many criticizing the show for not being compelling enough.

On X, one said, "That finale was a bit lackluster in weird ways. 99% of the TLORS is dedicated to oOo who is Susan then oOo who is Ruby's mum. On second watch it's just not compelling when you know the answer already? A good mystery story shouldn't become uninteresting once you know the answer."

Another fan wrote, "I love #doctorwho but that season finale was shocking. RTD's writing has not improved, surely Disney will want to step in with a writer's room?"

Calling the show dreadful, one fan said, "After some thought, while there was some brief moments I enjoyed, that #DoctorWho finale was dreadful. Yeesh."

Another upset fan wrote, "I am SO disappointed in Doctor Who, this entire season has been nothing but shite the entire way through and had the single worst season finale I have ever seen, I am wholeheartedly disappointed in u Mr Davis x Plz if u liked it tell me why because I cannot fathom how even 2 mins of this season was enjoyable."

One fan said, "Doctor Who Season 1 (2024): Finished That was overall a pretty good season. Bad premiere and rather underwhelming finale aside, there was still plenty about this season that I loved. Ncuti is a top tier Doctor for sure."

Fans criticize the season finale of 'Doctor Who' for being rushed and underwhelming

Fans also commented that the season finale of the show felt rushed, which reduced its impact. A fan said, "New Doctor Who season finale is mid, felt rushed should’ve had more eps."

Another fan said, "Can I just say that the #DoctorWho finale was a little... Underwhelming? I like the way that they explored Sutekh but the rest feels rushed and unfinished. It would have probably needed to be a little longer." "That finale just felt so rushed," added another fan.

One fan wrote, "Mixed feelings about the finale, much as about the whole season, but main thing I'd say is that the other episodes could have done with being this length. I mean, really, the season needed 13 one-hour episodes. It suffered rushedness at the level of episode and season."
