How much do 'Bachelor in Paradise' contestants get paid?
As mentioned above, the singles who appear on 'BiP' get paid a tidy chunk of change. According to Reality Steve, the 'BiP' contestants can get paid either per day, per episode, or at a flat rate. The spoilers king however noted that most of the cast is paid for either each day they film or for each episode they're in. However, fab-favorite or popular contestants can negotiate a flat rate salary for their appearance on the show. If you're wondering about the number, then Steve revealed that season 1 contestants made between $7,000 to $15,000 total. Thanks to social media, and the show's growing popularity, the number has gone up significantly since.
During an interview on 'Trading Secrets' podcast, 'The Bachelorette' alum Dean Unglert revealed that he was offered $400 per day to star on 'BiP' Season 4. He said, "They hit me up and they were like, ‘Hey, do you want to do Bachelor in Paradise, this other show that pays $400 a day, and you could be there for up to 30 days,’ something like that,” Dean recalled. “So I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, great. Four hundred bucks a day, 30 days, $12,000, that’s fantastic.” However, after some negotiations, Dean managed to hike up his salary to $600 per day.
Dean's fellow 'The Bachelorette' alum Jason Tartick too spilled the tea on 'BiP' money on the same podcast. He revealed that he was offered a $600-per-day salary with a guaranteed $5,000 check even if he didn’t make it past the first week. Most contestants make anywhere between $7,000 to $15,000, reported Distractify. In an interview with Money, Taylor Nolan, who appeared on 'BiP' Season 4 explained how appearing on the spin-off show made more sense financially compared to 'The Bachelor'. "After Paradise, I definitely felt more like there was a balance of how much I put in versus how much I was getting out," she explained.
Even if you fail at finding love, you can at least leave 'BiP' with your pocket full of money.
'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8 premieres on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 8/7c on ABC.
