Urban and ‘American Idol’ go a long way as the 55-year-old has been a judge on the show from season 12 to 15. Many fans expected that the ‘Somebody Like You’ singer will be there during the ABC reboot of the show but he told Us Weekly that it was "going to be all new people except for [host] Ryan [Seac rest]." The present judge comprises Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, according to People.
'He's changed so much'
There were also reports of host Ryan Seacrest turning nasty and rubbing off with many contestants. It is said that his new attitude is triggered by his leaving the talk show 'Live with Kelly and Ryan', which he co-presented for six years.
"Ryan used to be such a nice, sweet guy, but he's changed so much," a close source of the ABC singing competition series told Radar Online. It added, "These days, he always seems to be in a bad mood. He's even snappy with his co-stars." The source further claimed that he expected several "offers to come his way after leaving, but that hasn't happened."
