PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON: 'Dead Boy Detectives', streaming on Netflix, takes an interesting twist in Episode 6 as Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) not only takes up a risky case based on Monty's (Joshua Colley) request but also navigates through his complex romantic emotions.
While investigating the creepy forest, Edwin discovers that Monty is Esther's (Jenn Lyon) pet crow and was assigned to lure him and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri) into a trap.
Just when the supernatural mushrooms are about to absorb the detective duo, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson) channels her powers to defeat Esther and saves her friends.
Is the Night Nurse alive in 'Dead Boy Detectives'?
In 'Dead Boy Detectives' Episode 6, viewers discover that the Night nurse (Ruth Connell), whom Charles pushed into a sea monster's belly, is not dead. She wakes up alive in the monster's belly, eager to get back to work, but fails to find a way out.
Inside the belly, she meets a mystery man named Kashina, who not only calms her down but also helps her escape.
In the final moments of the episode, we see the Night nurse finding her way back to Charles and Edwin in order to take them to their afterlives.
The duo is shocked by her return. The Night nurse reveals that she is an eternal being and can never die.
Why is Edwin Payne dragged into hell in 'Dead Boy Detectives'?
As the Night nurse prepares to take the boys to their respective afterlives, Charles intertwines and mentions that Edwin doesn't belong to hell. He explains that he was only sent to hell because of a technicality and had no fault of his own.
As the night nurse checks her file, she realizes that there indeed has been an error. She agrees not to separate the pair while mentioning that she will take them to the Lost and found department.
Before the Night Nurse can take action, a creature comes out from Hell and drags Edwin with it, leaving fans with a cliffhanger.
