The Amazon show starring Joel Kinnaman (Erik Heller) and Esme Creed-Miles (Hanna) is based on the 2011 movie of the same name. The show, set to premiere on March 29 is about a teenager who is trained by her father, Erik, to avoid any situation that involves humans. The first episode was available on Amazon for exactly 24 hours after the Superbowl and then 'self-destructed'. The first episode showed that Hanna is not your everyday teenager who rebels against curfews. She rebels against her father setting boundaries for her and as a result, gets to kick some major ass in the show. She goes up against rogue CIA agent Marissa played by Mireille Enos. From being brought up in the isolation of the forests in eastern Europe, to planning an escape with her father, Hanna wants to find the truth about herself, who she is and why her father was dead-set upon making her believe that 'humans are dangerous'.
