And so it begins. There might be a crippling pandemic that has stalled the popular annual San Diego Comic-Con, but our heroes never disappoint their fans. After Comic-Con 2020 was held virtually, DC FanDome kicked off on August 22 and the first panel was 'Wonder Woman 1984'. We got to see Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, filmmaker Patty Jenkins, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal. The team discussed their best moments from the set, discussed fan art and answered numerous questions from excited fans.

And the best part? Apart from the new trailer of course that debuted the first look of Cheetah, played by Wiig, Lynda Carter made a surprise guest appearance on the show. For the unversed, Carter was the original Wonder Woman and she played the character in 1975. Fans, along with the cast were so excited to see her. She wished the new Wonder Woman all the best and Patty said that they promised to carry on the baton, far ahead, without ever touching upon her legacy. The cute part was when Gadot called Carter the big Mama Bear.

Fans couldn't keep calm on seeing Carter and soon social media was abuzz with reactions. "I'm floored.. I was hyped but the #WonderWoman1984 panel was incredible. Loved seeing fans in Malaysia/Japan getting love and the amazing artwork and of course... the original WW herself: Ms. Lynda Carter! Wow," a fan tweeted.

"Lynda Carter made a cameo at panel #WW84 #WonderWoman1984  new trailer is awesome! #DCFanDome," another wrote.

Some fans are praying that she makes a cameo in the new film, too. "Lynda Carter surprising everyone at the #WW84 panel! My heart! This woman is a true ambassador for Wonder Woman. Please give her a cameo in the new film! #DCFanDome," a fan tweeted.

"#WonderWoman1984  planes quick thoughts - Gal is incredibly charismatic - Chris Pine in the fish out of water role reversal looks fun - Cheetah looks really well done - Lynda Carter has frozen time - cinematic release in October feels a bit too optimistic to me," another wrote.

"So the first panel was ok really the highlights of it was Lynda Carter and the 2nd Wonder Woman trailer #DCFanDome I will stay for the WB game announcement then take a break until Black Adam's panel," another tweeted.

Tune into to MEAWW for all the excitement of DC FanDome!
