'Days of Our Lives' star Dan Feuerriegel is now officially a US citizen
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dan Feuerriegel, an Australian actor best known for his role on 'Days of Our Lives' on Peacock recently took to social media to share some exciting news with his fans. He seemed quite happy and excited to mention that he might be able to stay in the country longer than he expected.
Feuerriegel portrays EJ DiMera on Peacock's daytime drama 'Days of Our Lives,' which was previously played by James Scott from 2006 to 2014 and Trey Baxter in 2018. Dan Feuerriegel started playing the role in 2021 with an episode that aired on June 9, 2021. The actor considers himself extremely lucky to be able to play one of the most popular characters on-screen, asserting in one of his interviews that a primetime network show would take an actor four to five years to reach the 100-episode mark, which he managed to accomplish in a year with daytime drama.

Officially a citizen of the United States
Dan Feuerriegel took to social media to inform his fans and followers that he can now stay in the United States for a little longer because the government has officially accepted him. He has now received his citizenship certificate after relocating to the country almost a decade ago.
Feuerriegel posted the certificate of citizen status on social media, along with a Koala Bear holding an American flag, symbolizing his love for his home country, Australia. It also demonstrates that he has finally been recognized in the country he has called home for the past decade. The actor made it clear that Australia will always be his first home as his fans and co-stars congratulated him on this monumental achievement. He wrote in the caption to his post, "I’ve been here 10 years. Guess I now have to stay a little longer Don’t worry Australia, you’ll always be my first." Many celebrities, including Helen Mirren, Tristan Thompson, Pamela Anderson, Ryan Reynolds, Tan France, and others, have obtained US citizenship.
Dan Feuerriegel is ready for EJ DiMera's next romance chapter
Actor Dan Feuerriegel understands that the viewers of the television soap opera love his character EJ and are interested in seeing him with Sami Brady, played by actress Alison Sweeney, but the actor fails to see the couple as an endgame. Dan, who took over the character from other actors in 2021, stated that he has no history with Sweeney, which is why he is oblivious to the intensity EJ and Sami share, yet he's hopeful that he will be capable of moving on from Sami and begin a new chapter with his ex-wife Nicole Walker.
During an interview with The List, Dan mentioned, "It would be kind of cool to have a storyline where EJ is just madly in love. Fixated, and it's separate from all the drama. It kind of grounds him. There's no drama with it — well, there has to be drama — but he's just madly in love." The actor seems to be on board with the idea of the ex-couple reuniting and letting the love between them bloom.
