'Dave' Season 1 became the most-watched comedy series, drawing a total of 9.4 million viewers, which explains why the FX series has returned for another one. David Andrew Burd will be headlining the show and resuming his role as the co-creator. 

He released his debut studio album 'Professional Rapper' years ago but is now focused on polishing his acting skills. FX also has titles such as 'Breeders', 'Fargo', 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Teacher'.

Air time and how to live stream

'Dave' Season 2 will premiere on June 16, Wednesday, at 10 pm ET/PT on FX. The new season will also be available to stream the following day on FX on Hulu. The premiere will drop two episodes, following which the streaming site will air one per week.

Plot

The official synopsis says: "Dave knows he's destined for rap superstardom - but at what cost? With the pressure mounting as he records his debut album, he has to decide if he'll sacrifice friendships, love, and his own sense of self in order to make his dream come true. Simultaneously exasperating and inspiring to his friends, Dave vows to leave no stone unturned on his quest to become the next superstar."

Cast

'Dave' Season 2 guest stars include CL, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Benny Blanco, Kyle Kuzma, Doja Cat, J Balvin, Rae Sremmurd (Swae Lee & Slim Jxmmi), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Lil Yachty, Lil Nas X, Kevin Hart and more.

Burd AKA Lil Dicky shared the new trailer on his YouTube channel on June 4 and it has already clocked in 325K views and 500 + comments. 



 

Meanwhile, fans are looking forward to the show and it's evident in the comments they have posted under the video. "I'm calling it, the ending of this season will be another extremely sad lesson on how money and fame doesn't bring happiness," one posted, another wrote: "I’m actually so fkn excited for this , for the last 3 months the “Hi i’m Dave “ intro has been stuck in my head." A third wrote: "Calling it now, Dicky gonna make the whole season about struggling to make a album. Then season finale he's gonna drop the real life album."

'Dave' Season 2 is co-created by Burd and Jeff Schaffer. Serving as executive producers are Saladin K Patterson, Ben Sinclair, Luvh Rakhe, Kevin Hart and Hartbeat Productions, Scooter Braun, Greg Mottola, Marty Bowen, Mike Hertz and SB Projects' James Shin and Scott Manson. The series is produced by FX Productions.
