'Dare Me' Episode 4: Beth is jealous of Addy and Colette's odd relationship and viewers sympathize with her
If you've watched the USA Networks 'Dare Me' so far, you know that odd sparks are flying with way too many duos. Coach Colette French has managed to get Addy Hanlon deeper into their "friendship" but what we find odd is why a grown woman is venting to vulnerable teenagers?
Not to mention, she has Addy conveniently keeping her secret as she lets Addy tag along on dates with the man she's having an affair with — Sargeant Will.
In Episode 4 'Rapprochement', we find Beth trying to deal with what might have happened to her that, from the look of it, seems like sexual assault.
Addy, who does notice something off, still ends up running back to the coach. In the midst of this, Addy also gives the coach a Hamsa bracelet, for protection. The bracelet was given to Addy by Beth Cassidy, and the hostile teenager does not take this exchange well.
Fans are on Beth's side and noticed her rather drowning self, "LOOK HOW SAD BETH GOT WHEN SHE SAW ADDYS BRACELET ON COACH #dareme #daremetv," tweeted one user.
Beth comes from a confusing background with a father who strayed away into the arms of a new family and a mother who has pills for meals. Beth seems to compartmentalize her feelings quite well putting on a mask when needed.
Addy, on the other hand, tries to be there for her but doesn't realize how a small act of regifting Beth's gift to coach Colette would affect her best friend.
"#dareme the first thing to come out of Beth's mouth in the car was bracelet. she jelly," tweeted another user as Beth confronts Addy about the bracelet to no avail of course because Addy doesn't think she has done anything wrong.
The odd friendship Addy and coach Colette share seem to be unhealthy, considering it started off as Addy getting special treatment in return for keeping Colette's affair a secret.
"#daremetv you telling me coach can get Addy to run her around while she cheats on her husband but as soon as she needs help she “expects more," tweeted another user.
The user was describing the incident in which Addy brought Beth to Colette's home after the party because she was very drunk and Colette seems to have been furious about that.
It seems as though Colette is rather happy when things meet her expectations but she can't be expected of anything. To her, that's where she draws the line, unfortunately, Addy is blinded by private cheer practices and special attention.
