‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 31: Why is Sharna Burgess not returning to the reality show?
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Renowned Australian ball room dancer and choreographer Sharna Burgess has been a part of the ‘Dancing with The Stars’ franchise since its sixteenth season. She even won Season 27 with her celebrity partner Bobby Bones. Besides, she has been a judge in the Australian version of the show since 2019. While it is impossible for fans to think of the show without her, recent reports suggest the dancer would not be seen in the current season of the dance reality show.
Until a couple of days ago, it was believed that Sharna would appear in ‘Dancing with The Stars’ Season 31. However, in an Instagram video story, she clarified that she is not returning to the show.

Why is Sharna Burgess not coming back to 'DWTS'?
In the Instagram video story dated August 31, Sharna revealed she wants to spend time with her baby boy Zane. She said, “I made the really hard decision to not do the season this year of Dancing with The Stars. There was a list released saying that I would be the pro and I won’t be.”
However, this might not mean she will be totally absent from the show. Sharna shared, “But I will be there in some capacity, we’re still taking about that. I am at 100 percent capacity with my body. I feel fit, I feel strong and am so ready to dance. I’m about to go into the gym right now. We’re going to talk about what that means and how I can be a part of it.”
Appearing on the show would have meant spending at least ten hours a day away from Zane, and the new mom doesn't quite feel up to it. "I am so in love with being a mum,” she added.
Sharna loves the current season of the show
Sharna also revealed she is excited about the show’s upcoming season. She noted, “As much as it was hard to say no to dancing, I love everything that I know about this season coming up. I love that Conrad Green is back. I love that the cast is back. I love the show. It is my home.”
Sharna Burgess’s current relationship with Brian Austin Green
Sharna's family consists of Zane and her husband Brian Austin Green. Giving an insight into her family time and the newfound joys of motherhood, she added, “I have this family and the newborn at home. I may never get these moments back. Watching him grow in this bonding time, I’ve been waiting for this so long so I’m staying in that moment and I’m gonna live and love very single moment of it. But it does not mean that I will not be around. We are gonna figure things out in whatever capacity that might be. So you will see me."
Sharna participated with Brian, who is Megan Fox's ex-husband, in season 30 of ‘Dancing with The Stars’ as a pro. Brian is known for his performance in ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. Their love story started in December 2020 and the happily married couple welcomed Zane Walker Green on June 28.
A page named ‘DWTS Report’ dropped in the scoop of Sharna’s confirmation on not returning on September 1. Their caption read, “UPDATE: Contrary to recent reports, Sharna Burgess says she has made the difficult decision to not return to #DWTS for Season 31. Although, she says that she is in talks to return in some capacity.”

Fans of the show seemed to take the announcement in their stride.
“Completely understandable. I didn't expect her to be a pro,” said a fan. “This means either Sofia, Alexis, or Kateryna is a pro this season, right?,” another asked. “I imagine they'll give her a position as assistant choreographer, and either one of the previously-announced troupe dancers will be bumped up to pro, or we'll see the return of another old-school pro alongside Louis,” added a fan.
