Jesse Metcalfe is one of the most good looking contestants on 'Dancing With the Stars' this season. Since the premiere, fans have made it a point to make it known that they are as charmed with him as they were from his 'Desperate Housewives' and 'John Tucker Must Die' days. On October 5, he and his partner, pro-dancer Sharna Burgess did the cha-cha but none of that charm could save him from receiving not so great feedback from the judges regarding the performance.

Bruno Tonioli emphasized that Jesse needed to take all the talent he has and channel it in his performances. He was not very happy with Jesse's presentation and the fact that he forgot to work his hips, one of the most important elements of cha-cha dancing. Carrie Ann Inaba too said she wanted to see more from Jesse. She pointed out that he needed to open up more and also stop looking at Sharna's feet which he tends to do a lot. Derek Hough said that he could definitely see the improvement and progress in the dancing but wanted Jesse to put in a little more effort in his performances.

At the time of scoring, each of the judges gave Jesse a 7 out of 10 and the audiences at home took to Twitter to question why he was marked 21/30 when he didn't do that great on the dance floor. Here are a couple of reactions. "I agree with Bruno, Jesse dances like he’s dead inside #dwts," said a fan. "I’m sorry Jesse’s technique is not good his timing was off and his technique was subpar it’s mediocre it was not a great dance #DWTS My Score: 6," wrote another. "It’s an utter insult to Jeannie and Anne that Jesse got the same score as them #DWTS," noted another fan. "Jesse gotta do something, I be forgetting he on the show #dwts," read another tweet. "Jesse can go. #DWTS" wrote another.
