'Dancing With the Stars': Carole Baskin dances to 'Circle of Life', fans say 'she's making a mockery of lions'

Carole and her partner Pasha Pashkov did the samba dressed in lion costumes and it was not one bit pleasing to the eyes

Carole Baskin's performance for 'Dancing With the Stars' Disney night might probably be the lowest scored dance of the evening. She scored a total of 12 out of 30 points and at this point, it just feels like the judges were being too generous with her. For the performance tonight (Sept 28) she and her partner, pro-dancer Pasha Pashkov danced the samba to 'Circle of Life'.

'Danced' would be pushing it, because the 59-year-old big-cat activist and Pasha were walking through the performance and not really dancing. They tried to make up for the lack of dance with the expressions and even went too heavy with the crouching hand and kept the ear-to-ear grin constant during the entire performance. Unfortunately, all these added ostentations to the routine weren't enough to wow the judges and there was no way the judges were letting her escape unscathed for that performance, especially Bruno Tonioli who's been telling it like it is to Carole since the season premiere.

Tonioli said that he'd never seen a samba performance like this one ever in his life. He made it seem like he was about to dispense some positive critique but that was not it. Carole and Pasha were criticized for lack of rhythm and just walking through the performance. "I am stunned. You simply cannot just walk through it," said Tonioli. Derek Hough was a little lenient with his critique, he gave Carole a 10 for costume and hair and makeup but agreed that the rhythm and bounce were missing from the performance.

Carole is not a favorite with audiences as well so the comments about her performance on Twitter were no different than the judges' opinions. Here are some of the reactions. "Seriously they had the screen at the end say 'THE CAROLE BASKIN'?! Her intro was all bullshit, her dance sucked and she had no hip action at all, and she's making a mockery of lions and The Lion King. Haaaa more 4s and 3s, very deserved! #dwts," wrote a fan. "I don’t think Carole needs to be on this show. Like what was that #DWTS," wrote another. "I swear Carole Baskins better be evicted tonight or I'm going to fight somebody. #dwts #DisneyNight," read another tweet. "I'm sorry but that performance from Carole was boring. Yes, I know what she did to her husband. The scores show that. #dwts #disneynight" read another tweet.
