ASHBURN, VIRGINIA: 'Dance Moms: A New Era' Season 1 has recently premiered on Hulu, and it has received notable backlash compared to the original show. Critics have particularly pointed out that the reboot features the moms putting excessive pressure on their children and engaging in multiple heated confrontations in front of the young girls.

In the latest installment, drama erupted when Studio Bleu newcomer Corinne questioned why Audrey Brudner was cast as the lead in the routine. The situation escalated when Smiley’s mother, Domenica, exacerbated the conflict by calling Corinne 'sort of a stalker' of Studio Bleu.

On the Hulu show, the drama escalated as the moms began cursing and calling each other 'crazy' and 'b***h' with their children still present. While the original Lifetime show also faced controversies, the dancers's moms typically tried to avoid feuds in front of the kids. However, fans on X have criticized the reboot, calling the moms 'worse' with one saying, "The #dancemoms all need therapy. The kids got more sense."

Another fan wrote, "I'm sorry, the moms on #DanceMoms #Dancemomsanewera Are 1000% worse than the original moms." One critic said, "Why are they arguing in front of kids?!?!" Another internet user penned, "These moms are totally psychotic."

'Dance Moms' reboot coach Glo accused of favoring Audrey Brudner

'Dance Moms: A New Era' coach Gloria Hampton has been teaching Audrey Brudner since she was five, and her mother, Tammi Brudner, has been a longtime close friend of the coach. Despite Gloria's efforts to keep her personal feelings about Audrey and Tammi separate from her professional role, the other moms have accused her of favoritism.

The Hulu show moms expressed how they felt Coach Glo treated Audrey better than the other students. However, the drama escalated when Glo asked the girls to give a special performance to honor her son, who died due to stillbirth, and rewarded Audrey with a "special part" of playing the central role.

Gloria Hampton shades OG 'Dance Moms' coach Abby Lee Miller

'Dance Moms: A New Era' star Gloria Hampton took a jab at the OG coach Abby Lee Miller during the premiere episode. Gloria revealed that she and Abby "used to be dear friends." Gloria further noted, "But Abby's mad at me."

She added, "She’s jealous because I'm the coach of the next big team." Gloria has also recently claimed that she invited Abby to make a cameo in the Hulu reboot, but Abby declined the offer and expressed that she doesn't want to return to the show.
