When Katherine Langford played Hannah Baker on Netflix's controversial series, '13 Reasons Why', she became a household name. While Langford left the show after two seasons, her character still played an important part in the subsequent seasons. Now, Langford is set to appear in Netflix's latest fantasy drama based on a loose retelling of the King Arthur legend, 'Cursed'. This time, the Arthurian legend retelling from the eyes of Nimue, whom we better know as the Lady of the Lake. Read on to know about more of the fantasy series.
The first season comprising of 10 episodes of 'Cursed' will be available to stream on Netflix from July 17.
Based on the upcoming book of the same name, 'Cursed' is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother's death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins and their complicit King Uther.
'Cursed' is a coming-of-age story featuring themes familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.
Katherine Langford is an Australian actress best known for her roles in '13 Reasons Why' and 'Knives Out'. She plays the lead role of Nimue, better known as the Lady of the Lake. In Arthurian legend, the Lady of the Lake plays a pivotal role: giving Arthur his sword Excalibur, enchanting Merlin and raising Lancelot after the death of his father.

The Netflix series is based on the illustrated novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler.
