It looks like the K-pop industry is far from controlling the Covid-19 outbreak. In just hours, the cases have crossed 26 for the second week of February. We first had 10 idols testing positive in the last 24 hours. Itzy’s Lia, 2AM’s Seulong and Jinwoon, and Seventeen’s Wonwoo were among the idols to fall sick. And now in a shocking announcement, almost all of Cravity have gotten Covid-19 days before their upcoming album release.

Starship’s newest boy group were supposed to have their comeback on February 22 with their second studio album ‘Liberty: In Our Cosmos’. Fans were excited as Cravity had started dropping concept images and teasers for the comeback. It would have been their first comeback in six months after the success of their first studio album, ‘The Awakening: Written in the Stars’, which charted at #3 on Gaon and topped iTunes in countries like Panama.

7 out of 9 Cravity members get Covid-19

Unfortunately, on February 12, Starship reported that they would have to postpone Cravity’s comeback. Seven out of the nine members of Cravity had tested positive for Covid-19. Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung and Seongmin had contracted the virus while Woobin and Wonjin had thankfully tested negative. Taeyoung was the first member to show symptoms of a fever, following which all of the members took a test on February 11. All members have already taken their second dose of the vaccine and only displayed symptoms of fever and sore throat.
