November 2019 marked the arrival of 'Counting On' stars Joseph 'Joe' and Kendra Duggar's daughter Addison Renee to the world. The couple was already parents to a then 2-year-old son Garrett and the birth of their daughter was documented in the August 4 episode of the show which is now in its 11th season.

Addison weighed 8 pounds at birth. Revealing what the baby's name meant, Kendra, said, "Addison means 'in God's image' and Renee means 'born again'." Addison was James Robert 'Jim Bob' and Michelle Duggar's fourteenth grandchild and talking about her to the cameras, the couple said, "every child is such a miracle and she is precious".

Everyone was super elated with Addison's arrival. However, Kendra went through a really "uncomfortable" labor before her daughter was born. Joe and Kendra's birth plan was to labor at home for a while and then drive to the hospital. When they showed up at the hospital, their doctor was at another facility aiding another birth. Kendra's contractions had intensified and she was ready to push her baby out but the nurses asked her to hold off till the doctor showed up. The couple walked what felt like "three to four miles" in the hospital halls while she experienced "quite a few painful contractions" and some really "sharp pains". She was extremely nervous and was heard saying that she felt like she wanted to cry and kept saying that she couldn't do it anymore.

Joe rang both their mothers and Kendra's mom arrived within 25-30 minutes of the phone call and helped her daughter calm down. Kendra was experiencing intense nausea and even threw up at one point. All of these events leading up to Addison's birth had really taken a toll on Kendra and at one point Joe thought she was about to pass out. However, Kendra's mom helped her sail through all the pain, all the while assuring her that she could do it. Kendra was squirming with pain but shortly after the baby arrived she was beaming with joy as she held her daughter.

'Counting On' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on TLC.
