'Come Dance With Me': Fans slam split week episodes, wish show 'was for 2 hours'
With their recent episode, CBS' new dance reality show, 'Come Dance With Me,' seems to have finally gotten their fans hooked. With only five performances in the third spell, fans were left unhappy and longing for a longer episode.
CBS' 'Come Dance With Me,' which debuted on April 15, 2022, received a fairly lukewarm reception from viewers for the first two weeks, failing to create a buzz since the show's premiere. The third episode of the new reality dancing competition aired on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 8 pm ET. This week, fans were expecting to see ten teams battle for the competition and the grand prize of $100,000, but there seems to be a change in plans. At the one-hour point, viewers realized that the episode will only feature five performances rather than ten. This did not go down well with viewers who took to social media to air their disappointment.

'Come Dance With Me' features children between the ages of 9 and 15, who team up with an inspirational loved one to compete and dazzle the judges. Choreographer Tricia Miranda; dancer, actor, and plus-size model Dexter Mayfield; actress, former model, and dancer Jenna Dewan are among the panelists. When each youngster was entrusted with teaching their parent three dance techniques that they must weave into their performance, the stakes were at an all-time high. The duos performed hit songs by Sia, Fall Out Boy, Pitbull, and Jennifer Lopez. The elder partners put in a valiant effort to nail the performance, while their younger counterparts happily watch them try to incorporate the steps into the performance. Many of them wowed the judges and garnered overwhelmingly great remarks.
Even after receiving a poor welcome during the first two weeks, many fans tuned in for tonight's "bust a groove" episode to cheer for their favorite duos. However, most viewers were disappointed because the broadcast only contained five performances, rather than the anticipated ten. Fans of the show resorted to social media to express their dissatisfaction and demand lengthier episodes.@LavendarMom Wish it was 2 Hours! @CBS #comedancewithme"

Viewers are also questioning the network's decision to split the week because the show has already gone through two rounds of elimination, with two teams eliminated before the conclusion of week 2. With fewer teams, it didn't make sense for viewers to have to wait a whole new week to see how all the surviving teams performed. "Why the split weeks??? You sent home two contestants so why the need now to split the competition and the home viewer energy?? #comedancewithme"
