LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Citadel’ is one of the most-awaited titles of 2023 and has a lot of big names attached to it. The story is pretty simple and talks about a spy organization called ‘Citadel’ that has been working to destroy the evil group named Manticore. Even though the story looks pretty straightforward, ‘Citadel’ has many layers to it that make the show an interesting watch.

The series primarily focuses on two exceptional spies named Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) getting brutally injured in a bad derailing accident. After the accident, they lose their memories and forget that they were spies. While Mason Kane moves on with his life and has a family, Nadia is presumed dead. However, things take a U-turn when one of their colleagues Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) reveals that he needs Mason and Nadia to be a part of the mission that could save the world.

If Episode 1 laid a strong foundation about what ‘Citadel’ is actually about, then the second episode took the story forward in an explosive manner. The second episode is filled with action sequences and thrilling moments that will keep audiences glued to their screens.

Episode 2 is packed with brilliant action sequences

While promoting the series, Russo Brothers made it clear that it will strike a perfect balance between action and storytelling, and they were right. The first two episodes have kept us at the edge of our seats because of good storytelling and brilliantly choreographed fight scenes. The series goes back and forth in time to give us a perspective on what happened after the tragic accident. Episode 2 is all about Mason trying to adjust to his new life and trying to find Nadia so that they could plan something together. On the other hand, Nadia is running a restaurant in Valencia and doesn’t know anything about her past life. Episode 2 also reveals that Mason won’t be returning to his family because the mission is too dangerous and if he even mentions his family, they might get in danger.

By the end of the episode, we see Nadia getting to know who she really was, but it also makes her realize that there was something she didn’t want Mason to know. As of now, Mason is the one who has been facing all the challenges and now that Nadia has got her memory back, even she will now be getting into several dangerous situations.

Is Episode 2 of 'Citadel' worth watching?
