'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' Part 3 Episode 3: Hell's Queen on a quest to find Herod's Crown in Riverdale

In Part 3 Episode 2 'Drag Me to Hell', we saw Sabrina Spellman, the new Queen of Hell calling for the breakage of her father, the Dark Lord Lucifer's old ways. With the promise of the reformation of Hell, Episode 3 titled, 'Heavy is the Crown,' the Lords of Disorder, the three Kings of Hell demand to hear Sabrina's plans. With the obstacle of her Queenship being challenged by Caliban, the Prince of Hell, the Native Son of the Inferno, the Queen is set on a challenge that takes her to the murder capital, Riverdale.
With Nick Scratch now back in her arms and free from the Dark Lord within, Sabrina must resume her duties as Queen. After being summoned by the Lords of Disorder to discuss her reformation plans, she is challenged by Prince Caliban to the Aruthrian Quest for the Unholy Regalia. Prince Caliban managed to get 666 signatures from Hell's highest borns and so according to Infernal Laws, his challenge must be accepted by the Queen of Hell. The Unholy Regalia consists of the three most powerful occult objects in history, and the first challenge is to bring the crown of King Herod to the pits of hell.
Using the help of her cousin, Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina finds out that Herod's crown was taken to Riverdale by the American soldier Private Benjamin Blossom after being passed down by many. He was murdered by people who wanted the crown, but it was never recovered. Using the help of an immoral compass whose needle is sensitive to occult objects, Sabrina and Ambrose find Herod's crown in the guts of a maple tree. Unfortunately, while retrieving the occult object, the duo woke up a demon that's now on the hunt for his beloved crown and on his way to murder Sabrina.
Although Nick and Sabrina are attacked by the demon, Ambrose manages to drive the demon away, but Prince Caliban, who's been watching his competitor's every move, appears and takes the crown to the pits of hell. Having completed the first challenge, the cocky Prince gets a warning from Queen Sabrina, who vows to cut him ear-to-ear before giving up her blood right as Queen of Hell.
Amidst the hellish drama, Scratch seems to be suffering from PTSD having been previously trapped with the Dark Lord Lucifer in the flesh Acheron. He has a malformation in the form of a hoof, the remnants of his past power struggle with Lucifer. Telling Sabrina he feels the devil's residue inside of him, he attempts auto-amputation on his foot to no blood or avail. Drowning his pain in absinthe at Dorian Gray's bar, Scratch seems to be in a dark place.
All the while in the Academy of the Unseen Arts, now under the guidance of Directrix Zelda Spellman, Sabrina's aunt, the coven seems to be getting sick. With fevers, colds, weakness and the death of a warlock, the Directrix deems in coven in great crisis unable to understand what curse has befallen them. Not aware of the antics of her niece and her friends, and therefore unable to ward off evil for them, the Fright Club (Roz, Harvey, Joe, and Sabrina) try to take their minds of by attending a carnival that has come to town without knowing what dark mess they are about to get into.
At the carnival, Roz, with her Cunning is able to unmask the human faces of the man leading the carnival, although she isn't sure of the meaning of it. The viewers are then shown the cult-like behavior of the carnival people as they perform a blood sacrifice, unbeknownst to anyone. On the bright side, Sabrina's aunt Hilda gets engaged to Dr Cee at the carnival, so that's one good thing.
Even with the gates of Hell shut, Earth isn't at its balance because of the mayhem in the realm of hell. As said by the Infernal Law, if one must preserve one realm, they must preserve all. Is Queen Sabrina up to the challenge?
