Spoilers for 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 7 'Instinct'

The new 'Chicago PD' episode brought upon a case that was beyond messed up and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) ends up facing hell after his informant proves to be a loose cannon. The informant, who decides taking meth was the best thing to do while on a case, ends up getting in trouble with Ruzek. When the duo goes to meet the dealer, Rusek ends up with a gun to his face and is asked to take a hit of the meth as well. Of course, being the cop that he is, Ruzek ends up getting the gun off of him and takes down the dealer. What happens? Well, Ruzek gets branded for police brutality.

What makes things even worse is that out of all the people to call Ruzek out, it was Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). If you've watched the show, you know how ironic that is.

'Chicago P.D.' Season 8: 'It's the end of Voight's career' fans predict as show questions police brutality

Voight is no saint

It has become obvious that the show is now bringing policing issues to light using other cops on the show, instead of Voight himself. Voight is the one that is the most associated with police brutality, so fans found it ironic that he was calling out Ruzek.

"Voight telling Ruzek that he messed up, if that ain't the pot calling the kettle black. #ChicagoPD #OneChicago," tweeted one fan. Another wrote, "If Voight who has committed a lot of police brutality for years telling Ruzek he effed up, then yea Ruzek ya did #ChicagoPD."

The episode moved on to see Ruzek try to help the informant get clean, but unfortunately, the case is too messed up and he isn't doing too well. "Ruzek has gone through and done some dark stuff over the years but this one might be the saddest one in my eyes. His heart is in a good place wanting to help his CI friend but this case is a nightmare and he's stuck right in the middle of it.  #ChicagoPD," wrote one fan.

The episode continues to see the informant get shot by another drug dealer, which ends up in Ruzek shooting the drug dealer — could Ruzek's job be in trouble? Fans couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He ends up being really hard on himself.

Another fan wrote, "I can't trust my instincts anymore" My heart breaks for Ruzek. He's second guessing himself  #ChicagoPD #OneChicago."

"Ruzek gonna go over the edge after this one! Voight the only one who can bring him back! @ChicagoPDFans #ChicagoPD," tweeted another fan.

Fans seemed to enjoy the Ruzek and Voight episode, even though there was some intense hypocrisy in the matter. "Aww baby your crying. Stop breaking my heart #ChicagoPD #Burzek  i love #PatrickFlueger tonight. His acting blew me away. That was a great scene between Voight and Ruzek," wrote one fan. Another added, "Damn, what a way to end an episode, and that moment with Voight and Ruzek, chills!!! #ChicagoPD #OneChicago"
