Spoilers for 'Chicago PD'

The last Episode 3 'Tender Age' aired on January 13, which was already a delay as it was supposed to air on January 6. The reason behind that was because of the unexpected Capitol Hill riots that occurred on that day. Unfortunately, this week, the series doesn't have a new episode either, but this time, it's for a better reason. The new Episode 4 is set to air next week because Joe Biden was inaugurated as the 46th president of the United States. While for some politics isn't their lane, and maybe disappointed to be waiting another week for a new episode, we can say this much — the next episode might be worth the wait. While there have many gaps in the production of new episodes, we have to understand that a network as big as NBC will most definitely cover political news, especially an insurrection and an inauguration. So without further ado, here's is all you need to know about the new Episode 4.

When will Season 8 Episode 4 air?

'Unforgiven' will air on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 10/9c on NBC. There have only been three episodes to the new Season 9 so far — 'Fighting Ghosts', 'White Knuckle' and 'Tender Age'. All seasons of the series are also available on Amazon Prime.

What to expect from 'Unforgiven'?

LaRoyce Hawkins as Kevin Atwater (NBC)

The official synopsis of the episode reads: "A cop is murdered, and suspicion falls on someone who has been holding a grudge against the officer; intelligence works hard to solve the case, but Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller is hesitant to defend him until she knows the whole story." There could suspects to be blamed for the cop's murder — Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) or Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), but we think the latter is more likely. On an interesting note though, we are also excited to see how Miller's bond with Intelligence begins to develop. The series so far for eight whole seasons has been amazing with interesting character arcs, so it would make sense fans are anticipating more from the show. We don't think fans will be disappointed either.
