Well, it finally happened, "Upstead" fans. The latest episode of 'Chicago PD' finally saw Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) kiss after more than two seasons of fans asking for it. We guess Upton is replacing Sophia Bush's Erin Lindsey in more ways than one, and we can't help but wonder if Upton's New York job offer is a dig at Bush's exit.

Earlier this season, Hailey Upton had confessed that she had feelings for Halstead -- after more than two seasons of being Halstead's partner, it was not a big surprise. Upton has been replacing Lindsey on the Intelligence Unit since Sophia Bush left and more or less has been trying to fill the Erin Lindsey-sized void. And while Upton is unique in her own way, we feel like she may be following too much in Lindsey's footsteps, not just in terms of Halstead, but also in how she is looking up to Hank Voight (Jason Beghe).

While Upton confessed her feelings much earlier, it took until now for Halstead's feelings to become clear. After Upton is offered a job from the New York division of the FBI, she tells Halstead she decided not to take it because he, Intelligence, and Voight make her better at her job. This is what we felt was a dig at Bush -- her character left Chicago on a job offer from FBI and she chose to take it, unlike Upton. In the end, Halstead pulls in Upton for a kiss, thrilling many fans.

One fan simply tweeted, "THE WAY THEY FIT PERFECTLY TOGETHER #ChicagoPD." Another wrote, "AND THEY ENDED IT LIKE THAT OH MY GODDDDDD #ChicagoPD." An excited fan tweeted, "OMFGGGGG YESSSSSSS!! FINALLYYYYY!!! UPSTEAD IS HERE!!!! THE SLOW BURN PAYED OFF!!! #ChicagoPD."

However, fans have one important question. Given that Upstead is now confirmed, and that Adam Ruzek's (Patrick John Flueger) and Kim Burgess' (Marina Squerciati) relationship seems to be on the track for getting back together -- and perhaps even commit to starting a family -- we now wonder whether everyone in Intelligence Unit is just pairing off. In the previous season, this seemed especially likely when Vanessa Rojas (Lisseth Chavez) was still part of the cast and was vibing with Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins).

One fan tweeted, "So everybody just gonna date each other #ChicagoPD i need some of the drama back & not just a love story." Another opined, "Dear writers of #OneChicago television series please give these people other people to date besides who they work with!!!!! #ChicagoMed #ChicagoPD #ChicagoFire."

'Chicago PD' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights at 10/9c.
