Local mob boss Darius Walker was finally killed in this week's episode of 'Chicago PD' and a person viewers least expected was behind his murder.

Angered over Walker's involvement in her CI's death and that he got away after multiple cops were killed in this week's episode, Hailey Upton did a Hank Voight-like move and decided to take the law into her own hands.

Upton leaked news of Walker being a CI for Voight and the intelligence unit and him being responsible for the deaths of local gang members. Later, Voight and the others are called into a crime scene and see that Walker was brutally murdered, with a dead rat hanging over his head.

While Voight tries to talk to Upton about it, it looks like our girl has completely shut herself off as she tells him that she learned from the best. If you recall, Voight pulled a similar move earlier this season.

Viewers are now worried about Upton going down a dark path and many hope that she gets back on track. One fan wrote, "I like when she is a badass but yes her dialogues to Hank were concerning because its as if she was preparing herself for future incidents like this. We don't want that, I understood why she did what she did but let this be the only time our Hailey goes dark #ChicagoPD."

Some fans compared her new storyline to that of Sophia Bush's Erin Lindsay, who similarly went down a dark path. A fan tweeted, "Hailey, however, is going down a dark road. Almost the same storyline as Erin in the earlier seasons. I think Hailey has a darker past than we know."

One of the people who helped Lindsay get back on her feet was her then-partner Jay Halstead, who is now Upton's partner. Fans hope that Halstead — who could share a romantic connection with Upton — can help Upton get back on the right path.

One viewer wrote, "Honestly I am just worried about Hailey don’t dig the hole... lean on your partner (JAY FREAKING HALSTEAD)."

'Chicago P.D.' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights.
