Spoilers for 'Chicago Fire'

The NBC drama was set to air Season 9 Episode 3 'Smash Therapy' on January 6, 2021, but due to the insurrection that occurred on Capitol Hill, the show was delayed. Last week, we finally got to watch Episode 3, but yet again, the show is set to take a break this week. A new Episode 4 is not airing tonight, and many of you may already guess that it is because Joe Biden was inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States. Of course, there was no way a network as big as NBC would not follow such a historic inauguration. The series has been hit by many obstacles, from the Covid-19 pandemic production delays to the Capitol Hill riots, but either way, one more week of waiting isn't too bad. Here is all you need to know about the upcoming new episode.

When will Season 9 Episode 4 air?

'Funny What Things Remind Us' will air on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 9/8c on NBC. There have only been three episodes to the new Season 9 so far — 'Rattle Second City', 'That Kind of Heat' and 'Smash Therapy'. All seasons of the series are also available on Amazon Prime.

What to expect from 'Funny What Things Remind Us'?

Alberto Rosende as Blake Gallo in a rescue scene in 'Chicago Fire' (NBC)

The official synopsis of the episode reads: "While completing a task assigned by headquarters, Boden makes an unforeseen connection; Gallo is forced to make a surprise rescue to one of their own when the firehouse is called to the site of a construction explosion; Mouch reignites an old feud." Fans will be able to see the personal side of Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) which has been a rarity on the show. Not to mention, we're also hoping for Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende) and the new paramedic Gianna Mackey (Adriyan Rae) to show some sparks. We're also getting more of Mouch this episode, which is lovely considering the last episode had fans wondering if he would leave Firehouse 51.

Catch 'Chicago Fire' Season 9 Episode 4 'Funny What Things Remind Us' on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 9/8c on NBC. Watch the promo for the new episode below.
