LAS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The family-friendly and relatable plot of DreamWorks Animation's latest film, 'Orion and the Dark,' has received positive reviews. This Netflix film revolves around the life of Orion (Jacob Tremblay), an ordinary schoolboy who fears almost everything.

However, Orion's life takes an unexpected turn when the Dark (Paul Walter Hauser) visits him and leads him on an exciting journey to conquer his fears.

Charlie Kauffman's screenplay earns massive love

The adult animated film is receiving positive reviews from audiences, with many calling the film one of the greatest of 2024. This acclaim is attributed to its amazing storyline and stunning visuals.

A viewer rated the film a 9 out of 10, calling it one of the best productions from DreamWorks and left a comment on X, "Orion and the Dark is one of the best stand-alone Dreamworks movies since Rise of the Guardians. I have been waiting for years to give a non-franchise Dreamworks movie a 9/10."

Others were equally impressed by Charlie Kaufman's brilliant writing for the children's film, with one X user saying on X, "Orion and the Dark is excellent. Never thought I would see a kids' movie written by Charlie Kaufman, but not surprised that it's a good one."
