Wilmer said about their relationship, “I credit Tadao majorly for how I turned out.” He continued to add, “He was my moral compass.” Wilmer also said that Tadao kept his integrity intact. “He was my older brother, the guy that looked out for me,” claimed the actor, adding, “He was my guardian angel.” According to the actor, the Salima family has been a welcoming family, and Tadao’s house has become a haven when people from Samoa come to visit. But the space was not ample enough for their big and warm personalities. Tadao also faced the deaths of his younger brother and father to covid, and his mother died due to heart failure. But Wilmer had been there for him through thick and thin, and now the actor wanted to go the extra mile and gift his friend a grand renovation.

Tadao lives in his house with seven siblings, and many relatives visit when they are in Los Angeles. To turn the rundown garage into an extra room where Tadao can host his friends and family, the trio tore down the inside of the garage. The Scott twins then closed the side door after creating a space for a new main entrance. Into that space, they added the kitchenette. Wilmer also immersed himself in the project as he planned the renovation's color schemes and interior design, selecting retro finishes and warm hues to make the garage feel more spacious. Drew and Jonathan also added better insulation to soundproof the garage and provide heat ventilation.

Above all, Wilmer, Drew, and Jonathan aimed for a design that would express Tadao's Samoan roots. Thus, the garage was to exude an "island feel" in terms of esthetics. When choosing tiles for the bathroom, they decided on a unique design feature where the tiles had an artistic watercolor look. After weeks of work, the renovation was complete and included an elegant kitchenette, two folding beds, a cozy living area with a state-of-the-art TV lift, and a Polynesian-inspired bathroom with a teak vanity. From a tankless water system to a new air conditioning system, the renovation included all modern features.
