Seventeen’s Wonwoo is going through a hard time as the singer lost his mother on April 6, according to a statement released by Pledis Entertainment. The boy group Seventeen was doing quite well after their 2021 comeback with the mini-album ‘Attacca’ as well as its lead single, 'Rock With You’ followed by their Japanese release, ‘Power of Love’. Fans were also ready to celebrate the birthday of Mingyu who turned 26 this year (25 internationally).

Fans remember Wonwoo’s mother from one of her past appearances at the Seventeen concert and are sending their condolences to Wonwoo. Carats are also hoping that Pledis Entertainment does not rush Wonwoo but instead, gives him ample rest as well as some much-needed time off from promotion activities so that he can recover from the traumatic loss of his mother.
