LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Is Disney star, Demi Lovato the next Ghostface? Horror fans are getting closer and closer to the release of Scream VI. We’re less than a month away from the slasher sequel’s March release date. Just this week we have gotten new character posters and images, and now you can add the first single that will be on the film's soundtrack. Furthermore, the film stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox, who are all reprising their roles from previous installments, however, Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving, and Tony Revolori were later added to the cast. Franchise star Neve Campbell said she would not be returning as Sidney Prescott due to not being pleased with the offer presented to her, which makes this the first film in the franchise not to feature the actress or character.

The official synopsis of the film reads, "Four survivors of the Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start in New York City. However, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when a new killer embarks on a bloody rampage."

On Wednesday, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter unveiled the spooky cover artwork for her new single "Still Alive" from the upcoming film 'Scream VI' on social media alongside the slasher franchise's iconic line: "What's your favorite scary movie?"  

'HERE IT COMES, THE SONG OF THE YEAR'

Fans lost their calm instantaneously. It is something the fans never anticipared and didn't think they "needed" it. A fan said, "HERE IT COMES THE SONG OF THE YEAR," while another speculated, "Is demi the surprise cameo?!" A fan wrote, "I hope Demi lovato does quite make music she really talented as artist." A fan commented, "CANT WAIT FOR THIS MASTERPIECE," while another shared, "ACTUALLY SCREECHING IM SO EXCITED!!! demi + horror.. my 2 fav things." Lastly, a fan tweeted, "WE CANT WAIT DEMIII, ALREADY PRE-SAVED."

Lovato has been one of the most popular singer-songwriters around, and she just released her latest album 'Holy Fvck' just last year to critical praise. However, this isn’t the first time the singer’s music has been featured in a horror movie. Lovato’s popular hit single 'Confident' appeared in the 2017 Blumhouse slasher comedy, 'Happy Death Day' in one of the most hilarious montages in film history.

'Scream VI' is releasing in theaters everywhere on March 10, 2023.
