Cam Anthony is no stranger to the spotlight and his presence on 'The Voice' is only going to add to his fanbase

Cam Anthony made his show debut on Season 20 of 'The Voice' but he's no stranger to the spotlight. Hailing from Philadelphia, the singer performed 'Lay Me Down' for the season premiere. 

He may have increased his fan base with the show, but he already has a set of followers thanks to his music videos on YouTube. In fact, he gained some more when he was introduced to the Ellen DeGeneres Show. 

The 18-year-old has a lot to boast about in terms of his career highlights already. His parents discovered he could sing at the age of four and eventually moved on to singing for TV commercials. In fact, Anthony was even invited to the White House where he met Obamas.

With the number of things he's achieved already, it's not surprising that Team Blake Shelton wanted to have him on the team. He is the first entrant onto the team in the competition. However, there was quite a battle over the young singer. 

Coaches Nick Jonas and John Legend turned their chairs around too. However, Jonas blocked Legend from choosing Anthony. Blake Shelton was the next judge to face the singer who promised that he will not pick anyone else from a similar genre.

Shelton also tweeted "Let’s do this @CamAnthony ! Your lane on #TeamBlake is all yours buddy! #TheVoice." Fans also seem excited to see Cam Anthony growing into his own.
One fan said, "I pushed my button for @CamAnthony ! #TheVoice that voice is HEAVENLY. "

Another fan appreciated his youth and talent. "For a young man you have a wonderful voiceI pushed my button for @CamAnthony ! #TheVoice." Other fans who have clearly followed Anthony's trajectory from child star to young man seem to be taking pride in how far he has come. One fan said: "Omgoodness, been watching this young man since he was knee-high to a grasshopper ;) his voice has voice gotten better & better as the years went on.
