Spoilers for 'Call Me Kat'

The last episode saw Kat (Mayim Bialik) and her mother Sheila (Swoosie Kurtz) try to work through their issues as a unit. Of course, there were multiple challenges and comedy for a TV sitcom in 'Therapy'. Reportedly, the series has a fair amount of success so far since its premiere with 'Plus One' on January 3, 2021, but only time will tell how it competes with other comedies focusing on the same awkward-humor. Some fans are hoping that the FOX comedy that sees 'The Big Bang Theory' and Emmy Award nominee Bialik in the lead role would hopefully get renewed for Season 2. There is no official news on that yet. But, the upcoming Episode 5 will bring us closer to Kat's romantic intentions with Max. It's hilarious considering Bialik's role in 'TBBT' also involved her being part of an awkward relationship with Sheldon, something we all enjoyed. Here is what 'Cake' is bringing us.

When will Episode 5 air?

Mayim Bialik, Leslie Jordan and Kyla Pratt in 'Call Me Kat' Episode 5 'Cake' (FOX)

'Cake' will air on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 9 pm ET on FOX. The official synopsis reads: "A customer asks the café to bake his wedding cake, but it's a tricky situation for Phil. Meanwhile, Kat tries to figure out where her relationship with Max stands." Also, Sterling Jones guest stars as Lane Gaffney. Yes, we've all been waiting for the whole Max and Kat breakdown so we have to see what's next for them. While we know that Kat likes her independence, we're hoping that she and Max get together because well, our hearts simply can't take much more.

Leslie Jordan in 'Call Me Kat' Episode 5 'Cake' (FOX)

But, we have to say that Phil's (Leslie Jordan) comedy is also one of the standout features of the series, so we're happy that we get to see more episodes with him in it. Pictures of the upcoming episode show him, with a lot of cats, so that's interesting too. The most treasured part of the series so far has to be the cat café in Louisville, KY, at least for us.

Catch Episode 5 of 'Call Me Kat' titled 'Cake' on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 9 pm ET on FOX.
