'Bulletproof' Season 3: Live stream, release date, cast and all you need to know about The CW crime-comedy

The highly-popular comedy-drama series ‘Bulletproof’ is set to come back with a bang for its third season on The CW. Fans are excited to see their favorite characters return to the small-screen earlier than they expected.

The first two seasons of the show were prevalent and gave a plethora of entertainment value to viewers. The series managed to create a separate fan-base and continues to cater by continuously producing engaging content.

In Season 3, the makers hope to expand their reach as it is one of the most highly-anticipated shows of 2021. The season will also see Aaron Bishop (Noel Clarke) and Ronnie Pike Jr (Ashley Walters) traveling to South Africa for a well-deserved vacation. However, things take a U-turn when a girl is kidnapped and they find themselves delving into the criminal world of Cape Town.

The upcoming season will be a three-episode special event and will take the place of ‘All American’ for three weeks in March.

Release date

The three-episode special event will be premiering exclusively on The CW on March 15, 2021, at 8 pm ET.

Plot

The third season will see Aaron Bishop and Ronnie Pike Jr heading to South Africa for a vacation but soon find themselves solving a case of a missing girl. The official synopsis reads: “The British NCA detectives and best friends, Aaron Bishop (Noel Clarke) and Ronnie Pike Jr (Ashley Walters), heading to South Africa in search of a much-needed vacation from their London day-job. Unfortunately for them, rest and relaxation will have to wait as they get swept up in the kidnapping of a young girl and they soon find themselves delving into the criminal underbelly of Cape Town. This tense, action-packed journey will take them from the lavish world of Cape Town’s elite, through the poverty-stricken townships, with danger around every corner. Bishop and Pike will learn that not everyone with a badge can be trusted.”

Cast

Noel Clarke

Born in 1975, Noel Clarke is an English actor-turned-screenwriter who has been part of the entertainment industry since 1999. He began his career with smaller roles in films like ‘Native’ and ‘Take 2’. At the same, he was seen making appearances in TV shows such as ‘Metrosexuality’, ‘The Bill’ and ‘Casualty’.

He wrote the script of the 2004 movie ‘Kidulthood’ which turned out to be a success and prompted him to write and direct its sequel, ‘Adulthood’. In 2009, Clarke won a BAFTA in the category of Orange Rising Star Award. ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’, and ‘Centurion’ are some of the high-end projects that he has been a part of.

Ashley Walters

Ashley Walters, popularly known by his stage name Asher D, is a musician-turned-actor, who gained prominence through his music and later went on to become a successful actor. However, the biggest moment in her career came in 2004 when he was cast in the movie ‘Bullet Boy’. The movie turned out to be a critical success and took Walters’ popularity to a whole new level.
Walter was nominated for the prestigious British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) award in the Most Promising Newcomer category and took home the trophy.

Meanwhile, in 2005, he shared the screen with actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Naomie Harris, Ruth Wilson, and David Oyelowo in the TV series ‘Small Island’. The series was nominated for five BAFTAs at the BAFTA Television Awards, including Best Drama Serial. The show won the Best TV Movie/Mini-Series award at the 2010 International Emmy Awards. Walters has also worked in projects like ‘Insider Men’, ‘True Love’, ‘Life and Lyrics’ and ‘Stormbreaker’.

Creators 

Created by the trio of Noel Clarke, Ashley Walters and Nick Love, ‘Bulletproof’ has already been renewed for a fourth season and will consist of eight episodes. The series is produced by Jonathan Finn while Michele Buck, Judy Counihan, Nick Love and Allan Niblo.
