MTV is bringing you a new reality series in its beach franchise. Jersey Shore made its MTV premiere in 2009. Its success has spawned several spinoffs, including 'Floribama Shore' and 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation.' The original 'Jersey Shore' is MTV's highest-rated series of all time. The channel's new 'Buckhead Shore' will chronicle the social life of a group of 9 friends at their summer retreat on Lake Lanier, located a little under 50 miles from the Atlanta area. However, it is safe to bet that viewers will still receive enough footage from inside Buckhead's luxury residences, fashionable businesses, and lavish restaurants.
The fact that the series uses the term Buckhead in its title reveals how well-known the upscale neighborhood is outside of Atlanta. The many opulent residences, art galleries, and luxury shopping complexes all exude wealthy privilege.
