'Temptation Island': Kate reveals why she didn’t leave the island with Dominique

In an exclusive interview with MEAWW, 'Temptation Island' star Kate said she came in hoping to leave the show with David and not somebody else.

David brought his girlfriend of three years, Kate, on the show to prove his loyalty to her but instead ended up doing the opposite by indulging in a “threesome” and getting intimate and falling for Toneata. When fans saw this they felt bad for Kate and expressed time and again that she deserved better. On the Island, we saw tempter Dominique express his affections for her, and fans immediately began rooting for these two and nudged the reality star to consider him over her cheating boyfriend.

During the final bonfire we saw Kate confronting David for his actions during their time on the island and didn’t mince any words while expressing her disappointment in him. While fans absolutely loved watching Kate tear apart David, they were left feeling a bit disappointed that she chose to leave the island alone rather than with Dominique, who clearly seems to be smitten by her.

In an exclusive interview with MEAWW, Kate explains why she didn’t leave the show with Dominique. She says, “I don’t think its realistic to go on a show or go on an island for thirty days, and break up with your boyfriend or significant other without actually breaking up and having a conversation and then all of a sudden falling in love and leaving the island with someone. So leaving the island with someone was never something that I was willing to do because at the end of the day you need to come back to real life and figure out what's best for you and you need to heal from what just happened.”

She adds that she came in hoping to leave the show with David and not somebody else. “So it was never a question of leaving with anyone unless David and I were able to leave together. Um, if the situation would have been different, but the situation wasn't for he and I to leave together but I wasn’t going to leave with someone when I still had a lot of healing to do from the relationship that I had been in for years of my life in”.

Kate also talked about how it “didn’t make sense for her” to leave the island with someone she just met. “I know it's the show but I don't think it makes sense for anyone to leave the islands together, that didn't come together, you just, you just literally met that person”.

While Kate chose to go solo and work on herself, David decided to test waters with Toneata and left the island with her.

Kate spoke to MEAWW previously, where she discussed David's 'threesome' and dished on the men she got close to on the island. Read all about it here.
