BTS ‘PTD on Stage’: Fans donate to Ukraine after failing to reserve concert tickets
With BTS being in extremely high demand, fans snapped up tickets to the newest leg of the hit ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ concerts in hours. BTS announced ‘PTD to Dance on Stage - Las Vegas’ on February 23; and now as the tickets for all four days of the show have been booked, fans that missed the chance to book tickets are doing good in the name of their idols.
Now, as many fans report missing out on concert tickets, ARMYs have donated the same amount to charities that support the needy in Ukraine.
BTS fans are known to engage in acts of charity in the name of the seven-member group, and it was brought to public attention when ARMYs matched BTS’ 1 million dollar donation to Black Lives Matter back in 2020. Other than that, many fans have always been active on various other issues that help the needy. On March 3, one fan of BTS took to Twitter and replied to a BTS post, talking about how they were not able to secure tickets for the upcoming Las Vegas concert and donated the same amount to the Embassy of Ukraine in order to help the needy.

BTS fans donate to Ukrainian charities
The fan of BTS posted a screenshot of themselves donating 165,000 won ($135) to the Embassy of Ukraine. One fan responded to a tweet from J-Hope saying, “Hoseok-ah, my ticketing failed but you will still be glad to meet other ARMYs. I donated the ticket price at the Ukrainian Embassy.” Fans started praising the fan for donating the amount to the needy instead of watching the concert online. Another fan also reported donating the concert ticket amount to Ukraine.
PEACE.. pic.twitter.com/C1E0OIB12a

Another fan said, “At first, I was excited that the PTD concert will be broadcasted online, but at this moment, I don't feel like having a cheerful mood, so I decided to donate to Ukraine, the money I put aside to buy an online pass. Sorry, it won't be my first BTS concert!” Another fan said, “Although the ticketing was unsuccessful, the remaining ticket expenses were donated to Ukrainian children. It was the money I was happy to spend, so it seems right to spend it on a good cause! :)”

티켓팅은 비록 실패 했지만 덕분에 남게 된 여유 티켓비는 우크라이나 어린이들을 위해 기부했다. 기쁘게 쓰려 했던 돈이니 좋은 곳에 쓰는게 맞는 듯! :) pic.twitter.com/6EpMpLH1HP
