Making a thrilling comeback after two years, K-Pop’s iconic group BTS took over Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on November 27. The quartet belted out their chart-topping bangers including ‘Dynamite’, ‘Butter’, and ‘Airplane’ among others. BTS had last performed in 2019 before the world got shut down due to the unfortunate global pandemic.

BTS' comeback concert at SoFi Stadium proved to be their first offline concert in about two years. The legendary group will also be enthralling their loyal fans at SoFi Stadium on November 28, December 1, and December 2 making a total of four concerts. Hashtags like ‘BTS comeback’, ‘Jungkook’, ‘Namjoon’ and ‘Sofi’ were some of the top trending topics on Twitter over the weekend after the group landed on stage to mesmerize their impatient fans. For the uninitiated, the BTS comeback concert has been titled ‘Permission To Dance On Stage’ aka ‘PTD On Stage’. Apart from the excitement, the BTS concert got slammed for security issues at the venue as the management failed to control the huge crowd. Many took to Twitter to share their experience as they tried their best to enter the venue safely.

BTS makes thrilling comeback after two years, fans raise security issues

BTS Army went berserk after the group performed the orchestral version of their 2020 hit single ‘Black Swan’. Members namely Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM, and Suga donned all-black outfits to match the vibe of the song.  On day one of the concert, BTS also made their fans go mad after they performed on songs like, ‘ON’, ‘FIRE, ‘Blue & Grey’, ‘Stay’, ‘Young Forever’, ‘WAB : Eternal’, ’Answer : Love Myself’ and ‘Idol’ among a few others.

The authorities at SoFi Stadium hyped the BTS’ comeback concert by lighting up the sky in purple. Several fan-made videos also surfaced on the Internet where they were seen having a ball while the band rehearsed at the venue a day ago. BTS was earlier supposed to make their comeback with ‘Map of the Soul’ tour but it officially got canceled last month.  BTS’ ‘PTD On Stage’ also made headlines for safety issues, higher ticket prices, and mismanagement of tickets. To assure the safety of the attendees, the official Twitter account of SoFi Stadium stated, “Thanks for your concern, #BTSARMY. Our security is working with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of our guests, the artist and our staff. #BTSSoFiStadium #SoFiStadium"

‘No security to guide anyone’, says Twitter

BTS Army erupted with joy after BTS made their official comeback on the stage. Many spoke about their performance on ‘Black Swan’ but also raised their issues with the security. “I’m so glad we got in. It was a mess. There was no security to help guide anyone @SoFiStadium do better omg”, said one user as another got furious and added, “The f**king security is literally non existent at this point.”

One user stated, “I understand the BTS concert is your first big concert, but please, please take notes and correct what happened today.  Maybe start letting fans in earlier or have more security at the gates to speed up the process.  I'm just sayin.” Another posted, “Gate 7 at sofi stadium.. Literally a mob outside the stadium, Delay in concert, and some guards not checking vaccine card and tickets. There are also some xenophobic security.”  Meanwhile, one shared, “Y’all I’m literally scared right now at sofi stadium. I came tonight to get mercy before my show tomorrow and it’s a mess with security. If you have gate 8 tomorrow good luck y’all.” And, the next one concluded, “Why they letting people in without checking that’s hella unsafe idc if there is a lot of people if I was security I would be checking everything.”
