BTS is most certainly one boy group that is breaking many records and making news every single day with their achievements. This time too, BTS broke another new record and became the first K-pop act to be awarded a plaque in celebration of the boy band amassing 1 billion streams on music platform Spotify.

Many international artists have been felicitated with the Spotify plaque for their insanely popular songs, and with this BTS joins their illustrious contemporaries. The boy group received the award on March 15 and celebrated the new achievement in the most BTS way possible as fans noticed an Instagram update from BTS’ official Instagram handle.

The seven-member boy group is currently resting after their super successful ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ concert that took place in Seoul over the last week.

The ‘PTD on Stage - Seoul’ concert was such a success that BTS recorded a new first, with the worldwide theatrical release of the concert becoming the highest-grossing event in history with upto 1.4 million simultaneous viewers attending the concert from every part of the world.

BTS eat bibimbap on the Spotify plaque

While the concert was a success, BTS is not stopping anytime soon, as the members just recorded 1 billion streams on Spotify for their 2020 all-English single ‘Dynamite’. Celebrating the record in the most BTS way possible, the boy group went on to assemble an iconic Korean dish on the plaque and sat together to eat from it.

Artists like Drake and Halsey also ate from the plate-like plaque in the past and BTS followed suit, but gave it a Korean twist by using a rice dish mixed with vegetables and sauces topped with an omelet.

Fans of BTS are loving the fact that the boys celebrated this record in the most BTS way possible and made a Korean dish that is messy, proving how much they love their culture. All seven members of BTS took turns adding the ingredients of the dish onto the plaque plate one by one, and then sat together taking in spoonfuls of the bibimbap in celebration.

‘Literal Kings’

Fans are lauding BTS for keeping the Spotify plaque tradition and eating from it in celebration of the feat. One fan said, “BTS joining their peers eating out of the Spotify 1B streams plaque for Dynamite.”
