BTS at UNGA: Air time, where to watch and all about K-pop group's performance
With South Korea announcing that BTS will be attending the 76th United Nation’s General Assembly (UNGA) as Special Presidential Envoys, Koreans and fans from all over the world are proud. The global K-pop boy group had first attended the 73rd UNGA and then again spoke at last year’s Assembly to the youth struggling during the pandemic. And this time, they’re taking up an even bigger role.
The Blue House shared that BTS will speak on the trying times that today’s youths are going through, as well as cooperate on solving global issues like climate change, poverty and discrimination. They’ve also joined campaigns like ‘Global Goals’ and ‘Youth Today’. President Moon Jae-in was impressed with the positive impact their latest single ‘Permission to Dance’ had as it comforted listeners who felt alone during the pandemic. Considering this aspect and the fact that they are first and foremost artists, BTS will also be performing.
